Opening Doors

For those of you who follow the blog, you probably are aware that about six weeks ago, I took a huge step in faith (well, more like a leap!) but I quit my job as an attorney. I had been practicing law for the past 11 1/2 years.
When I originally turned in my notice, I honestly thought, "now I can relax and take time off." Since my last day to work, everyone keeps asking me "have you found another job yet?" & more often "what are you gonna do today?" The answer to the first question is "i've not even looked!" and the answer to the second question is a run down of my "to do" list for that day!
The most shocking thing that has occurred since March 12th is that I HAVE HAD NO time to relax and chill out. I've been so busy. I will tell anyone who will listen, "I don't know how I had time to work before!" So true. I've been blessed with home parties and the custom orders just keep coming in. Simply Amazing. God is so faithful. I laugh daily at how he is providing and to think I was fearful to step out in faith. How foolish I was. I'm glad the light bulb finally turned on.
During my quite time this morning, (I'm trying to catch up on my Breaking Free Homework) but I'm on week 7, day four. The lesson was titled "God's Rule is Right." Our scripture was Isa. 51:1-16. While reading these passages and doing the homework, I saw my current state being described. Beth Moore asked the question "Have you ever felt like the waves of the sea were pounding against you and your were drowning in a relentless tide? See Isa 51:10 to find out what God can do for you.
That was my life for almost the last two years. I felt like I was drowning. The economy was soo bad, business was slow and at times non-existent, and in the midst of the waves, I kept having this voice saying "you've got to do something."
Isaiah 51:10 states, "Wasn't it You who dried up the sea, the waters of the great deep, who made the sea-bed into a road for the redeemed to pass over?" After reading that verse, I see that I too, was like the Isrealites and the Red Sea, when I took that first step of faith, as soon as I stepped, the waves were gone and the sea bed was now a road, a path he's paved for ME! It was another revelation this morning of how faithful he is and how much he loves me.
Recently, God opened another door for me to grow my business. A local gift boutique here in town, Gifts on Wings, has started carrying my products. The items they sale are exclusive to their store. They've been so nice and great to work with. Here are some photos of the items they will be carrying

These are the wedding plates they will be carring. The are personalized with a monogram and wedding date.

This is the grandmother's platter that I designed for them. I'm very proud of my little people. I thought they turned out just adorable!

Personlized chip & dip set. Everyone needs a little polka dot in their life!!
