Christmas has always been my favorite time of year. Love to cook, make special cookies and gingerbread houses. Love to see the little kids eyes light up. My biggest kid is Tommy. Every year it seems to become a more spiritual time rather than a commercial time. Its hard to filter out the hoopla and just concentrate on the greatest gift ever, Jesus Christ. Can you imagine what the world would be like if he was literally the center of our celebrations instead of presents. I always buy several gifts from the previous year although I may not know who they are for. Have a few ideas but little money so will worry about that later.

Christmas is just around the corner. My girls love Christmas, they love Christmas in July on QVC. My daughter is getting married in three weeks and already wanting Christmas decorations. Also, the wedding platter I ordered for my daughter is BEAUTIFUL and will be displayed at the wedding. Everyone loves it.

we have to travel over 9 hours to visit our family in Alabama. So i start shopping in early September and have items shipped to my parents or mother in law's house. The gift that is given every year is pictures of the kids. This serves two purposes for the holidays. 1. a "reason" for me to get them dress up in cute outfits and have pictures. the second is they make great gifts.

I always wait to the last minute to start Christmas shopping and I regret it every year! I definitely have not bought a gift yet but probably should be thinking about it and start saving up!

I start my shopping in july usually, but this year it was june. I have already bought 3 gifts. one for my cousin, a friends little girl and one for one of my dear friends. I like to get it done early so that i dont have to rush around Christmas time and I can enjoy it with my kids.

I always keep Christmas shopping in the back of my mind all year long. Over the past few years our family has really brought Christmas presents into perspective and now gift with a purpose. However, it has always been my weakness to purchase a gift early and get so excited about the giving that I end up not waiting until the occassion it was intended. I guess that just proves...I LOVE GIFTING!!!!
