Oh, I have so many wonderful valentines' memories. I have a rare husband who is truly romantic. Once he too two sheets of posterboard and made a gigantic card. There was a poem in the card and for certain words he would tape a candy in for the word. Like " Your love makes my heart shoot to the Milky Way" (there was a milky way bar in the place of the words milky way) Isn't that sweet in so many ways?

Well I can't beat the Southen Belle's post. I do still have the card that she left in my closet. I have many memorable Valentine's Day memories due to my DADDY! Aren't Daddys usually a little girls first sweetheart? A Daddy usually loves his little girls, whether they are good, bad, or ugly. My Daddy always bought Valentine candy for his girls (my sister, my mother and me). He bought it from Mr. Baker at Baker's Sundaries (News Stand). This candy was special ordered and was out of this world. All three heart shaped boxes had different colored "plastic flowers". Of course Mother's was always the biggest. Daddy never missed a year giving his girls this candy right up until the day he died. God blesses us with special people and special memories.

I am not sure of a great memory... one Valentine's in high school, a best friend and I had no boyfriend or Valentine, but we got to our lockers and found that we had to very sweet valentine's surprises from a "Secret admirer." Turns out it was our other best friend, just making us feel super special for the day!

Last years Valentines Day was great! My husband had small notes randomly placed throughout the house that lead to presents. It was so much fun. I am blessed to have a husband who is also my best friend!!

My favorite valentines day was when my sweetheart asked me to marry him. We eloped one week later.

My favorite Valentine memory was when my son had his first Valentine's dance at school. He was 4 years old. He picked out his outfit at the store, black dress pants, a black button up dress shirt, and a red necktie. He looked so handsome. He was nervous, asking me who he was supposed to dance with and does he have to dance with any girls. I answered him by saying he could dance with anyone he wanted. He said "I will make sure to save a dance for you, Mommy, because you are my real valentine." He is such a sweetheart.

The first Valentine's my husband and I spent together was nice! I had come home from working an evening shift at work. He had laid a dozen roses on the bed in the shape of a heart, with a HUGE stuffed dog sitting on my pillow, and chocolate scattered everywhere.
